The Migroup Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (Migroup) plans to develop restaurant chains throughout Vietnam, with its De Re Song Duong (Song Duong) restaurant brand recently opening a new outlet in Hanoi.
With a total area of 380 sq m on three floors, the third Song Duong restaurant boasts a unique space featuring graffiti art and has been built from natural materials.
Song Duong 3 has eight VIP rooms and four common areas that can seat up to 150 guests at a time.
A representative from Song Duong told VET that its 39 dishes reflect the inspiration, creativity, and dedication of a team of chefs with more than 15 years of experience. Its outstanding dish is young goat, weighing just 17-20 kg, which are raised on leaves and plants, making its meat soft and nutritious.
Song Duong also pays tribute to traditional Vietnamese cuisine and contributes to developing mountainous economies, from where some of its ingredients originate. It serves more than 10,000 guests a month, consuming more than 300 goats, or around 4,000 each year and rising.
Its operations have created stable employment for more than 300 ethnic minority families, such as H’Mong, Muong, Dao, Tay, and Nung, in Vietnam’s northwest region. Many of its dishes feature forest vegetables.
An endeavor between singer Trong Tan and Dr. Dinh Minh, Chairmen of Migroup, Song Duong plans to open three more outlets this year.
Migroup was established in 2013 by Dr. Minh and his associates. It has successfully built two brands honoring Vietnamese cuisine: The Gioi Hai San and Song Duong. Last November it launched a new premium brand: the Japanese Hatoyama Seafood Restaurant.
